FAST & Cognos Team to Deliver Enterprise Business Intelligence Through Search
Fast Search & Transfer (FAST) announced a partnership with Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN; TSX: CSN). The partnership is the foundation for a new FAST integration that joins the FAST Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP) with Cognos 8 Business Intelligence. The combination of FAST ESP and Cognos 8 BI with Cognos Go! Search Service delivers a solution which enables users to leverage enterprise search functionality to find reports, analysis, scorecards, dashboards, and other business intelligence information, along with corporate content such as documents, e-mail and other forms of structured and unstructured business information distributed across the enterprise. With Contextual Insight, FAST ESP looks to analyze and interpret the underlying meaning behind reports, not just the reports themselves. To support the continued engineering and sales activity, Cognos and FAST have joined each other’s Alliance Partner programs.
